The ETS Happy Hour

Tonight we had our Happy Hour at the Chauncey Center, a.k.a. the bar on the ETS campus. Sadly, tonight was also the last Happy Hour that my carpool buddy, Katherine, will attend. Katherine has a fellowship from ETS (they will pay her tuition, etc., and she'll do research for them but the research also relates to her dissertation) and she was only here for three weeks because this was the time frame that worked best for her and her mentors. I'm going to miss my carpool buddy!!!

Nele's sister Tara, Nele's husband Andy, Nele, and Katherine - Nele's family just arrived right before happy hour and were such troopers for staying for happy hour despite being tired!

Several of us wanted to take pictures with Katherine - she'll be at work tomorrow but we still wanted to take pictures with her tonight.

Periodically an intern would come over to introduce themselves to Andy and Tara.

I will definitely miss her!

By the end of the night, Kinge and Neil were playing pool and the rest of us were sitting and chatting and finishing the food and drinks. It was a great Happy Hour evening!

Smile: Yay for making a friend!! I will miss Katherine but she's going to spend a lot of time in St. Louis this year (she's getting married and that's where her fiance lives) so perhaps we will be able to meet up for coffee sometime.
